Lin-Manuel Miranda’s multi award-winning cultural phenomenon Hamilton embarks on its first-ever UK and Ireland tour — and will take centre stage at Norwich Theatre Royal for a spectacular six-week season from 16 September to 25 October 2025.
Telling the story of America’s Founding Father, Alexander Hamilton — an immigrant from the West Indies who rose to become George Washington’s right-hand man during the Revolutionary War — this groundbreaking musical reimagines history through a contemporary lens. With a score that fuses hip-hop, jazz, blues, rap, R&B, and classic Broadway, Hamilton captures the story of America then, told by America now.
Featuring book, music, and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, the production is directed by Thomas Kail, with choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler and musical supervision and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire. The show is inspired by Ron Chernow’s acclaimed biography of Alexander Hamilton.
Winner of 11 Tony Awards, 7 Olivier Awards, the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, and the Grammy Award for Best Musical Theatre Album, Hamilton is more than a musical — it’s a revolution in storytelling.
